George Raymond Bonney

Son and Heir for the Bonneys

Arrival of little stranger in Police Captain's home caused great excitement at the Local Station

The arrival of a tiny boy yesterday caused enough excitement around the city marshall's office to make the ordinary outsider believe that a riot was in progress.

According to those who were not too excited to look at the clock, it was about 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon that Captail G. W. Bonney, acting chief of police, came rushing into the station all out of breath. Mopping the perspiration from his brown, the captain tried to speak, but the effort was a failure. It could be noticed, however, that there was an expression of great joy on his face. Finally, after much urging by his fellow officers, Bonney managed to gasp out the information that he was a father.

According to the official report, the little son and heir was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bonney late yesterday afternoon, at the family residence, 107 East Pikes Peak Avenue, Cripple Creek, Colorado. All concerned are reported as doing nicely.
