Belize City, Belize - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
|
We arrived at Belize on Valentine’s Day. This was a port where tourists needed
to tender to the shore. I had not decided on a tour here and since I was still
having trouble with my back, did not get off the ship. Katie had hopes of meeting
up with her sister who was taking some classes there, but ended up not seeing her.
When everyone arrived back at their stateroom, a gift of Red Velvet cupcakes
awaited. I’m not big on red velvet cake, but I must admit these were excellent.
I had designated this casual night at dinner as “wear a red shirt/blouse/dress
night” so we would all celebrate Valentine’s Day in style.
Before dinner, I met with my brothers and sisters-in-law at the Concierge Club
before joining my group in the dining room. They planned to eat in one of the
specialty dining rooms and had invited me, but since I had my group, I couldn’t
go. Because Valentine’s is the best kissing day, I passed out red wax lips to
celebrate. We had a lot of fun with those after dinner.
Janet and Jeff gave me a Valentine rose. I also received some chocolate treats from others.
This also might have been the day that Sherry won $750 on the quarter slot machines.
Often on my group cruises, someone wins something nice while on the ship.
